When will I be scheduled to attend?
Following your conviction, the municipal court will send your information to the Intoxicated Driving Program (IDP) in Trenton. IDP will mail a scheduling letter to the address you provided to the court.
The program takes place on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.  You must attend the entire program.

What if I need to be rescheduled?
Rescheduling may only be granted for the following reasons with suitable verification:
            -Health emergency (personal or family);
            -Death in the family;
            -Documented work emergency;
            -Family emergency.
Please do not request to be rescheduled for any other reason.

I no longer live in Camden County.  May I be transferred to the IDRC in my county?
Yes.  Please send us proof of your current address (lease, deed, bill, etc.) and we will transfer you to the correct county.

Why was I scheduled twice?  Do I have to attend twice?
If you were convicted of a DUI and a REFUSAL at the same time, you may have been scheduled twice.  Most of the time you only have to attend once, but you must obtain verification from the court indicating your IDRC classes are "CONCURRENT" and not "CONSECUTIVE".  The court can fax verification directly to IDRC or you may bring verifcation when you come to class.

How much is the fee?
Upon arrival, you must provide a $264.00 MONEY ORDER (payable to "Chance to Change").  We do not accept cash, personal checks, or credit cards.  You will not be allowed to attend the program without the required fee.

What do I need to bring to class?
-Photo ID (license,passport, work ID, school ID, military ID, etc.).
-You may bring a lunch and a non-alcoholic beverage.  There is a refrigerator, microwave, and soda machine.  There are places to buy lunch within walking distance.
-Glasses (if you need them to read, write, or see the front of the classroom).
-Sweater (the classroom tends to be chilly).
-If you are currently in treatment or you successfully completed treatment AFTER your DUI, please bring verification.

May I drive to the IDRC?
If your NJ driving privileges are currently suspended, DO NOT DRIVE.  If your NJ driving privileges are NOT suspended, you may drive to IDRC but you may not leave the premises in a vehicle between 9:30 and 3:30. Please keep in mind that IDRC is considered “detainment”.
